Ferrari Model 250 LM Made In 1962

A 1962 Ferrari 250 LM sold for an amazing $6.9 million. Only 32 such cars have been produced by Ferrari. This car model was designed by Pininfarina and it was initially created for racing.

However, the 250 LM was only produced for racing in the prototype level.  It was in the year 2008 that a vintage car of this model was sold to a bidder for the record price.

This classic car was commissioned by affluent Californians who wanted an extravagant automobile. This car was not designed for any practical considerations or to be affordable. In fact, the intention behind its creation was the very opposite.

The Duesenberg  J coupe was created to be a symbol for wealth and power. This car was sold for $10.34 million at an auction held in 2011 by Gooding and Company at Monterey. This vintage car has only been owned by a handful of rich owners so far.

Rolls-Royce Model 10 HP Made In 1904

The 1904 Rolls-Royce Model 10 HP is one of the most exclusive, ancient and expensive vintage cars in the world. Only 17 cars of this particular make were produced by Rolls and Royce (2 car companies) in 1904. This automobile has a 1.8 liter engine of twin cylinders.

It has brass headlamps and wheels with wooden spokes.  One car of this model was sold for $7.3 million in the year 2004. This Rolls Royce car is one of the oldest in the world. Its chassis was updated during later years but it was restored to its original state during the 1950s.

A 1929 Mercedes-Benz 38/250 SSK was sold at an auction for an astounding $7.4 million. Only  about 35 of these cars have been produced by Mercedes Benz. The SSK in the name of this car stands for Super Sport Kurz. Kurz means “short” in German.

Ferdinand Porsche designed this car for Mercedes Benz before he left it. This car was owned by a car collector George Milligen for over 70 years before it was sold at a 2004 auction.

A 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder was sold for $10,894,900 at Maranello in Italy. This car was sold in May in the year 2008.  Ferrari is known for its race cars and unique automobile engineering technology. This car has a 3 liter V12 engine.

The 250 in the name of this car stands for the level of displacement made by each cylinder.  SWB stands for short wheelbase. This car was owned by famous Hollywood actor James Coburn for over 20 years. In 2008, it was sold to a celebrity radio personality Chris Evans for a record $11 million.

Bugatti Royale Type 41 Kellner Coupe (1931)

This vintage coupe is powered by a 12.7 liter engine and it is the creation of Bugatti in a collaboration with Parisian coach builder Kellner. This car is a reflection of Ettore Bugatti’s passion for creating the most luxurious and expensive cars in the world. The Bugatti Royale Kellner coupe is 15 feet in length and only 6 of these vintage cars were manufactured for sale. This car has an engine which is powerful enough to fly an airplane.

Only 3 of these cars have ever been sold. At a Christie’s auction in Royal Albert Hall at London, a car of this model was sold for a staggering $9.7 million.  This car was has lightweight body, massive engines and an amazing style. It is one of Bugatti’s greatest automobiles. The wheelbase of this car is over 4.6 meters in total length.

No 2 cars of this model are made exactly similar. This car has a powerful 3.3 liter eight cylinder engine. The car can reach over 170 horsepower.  Many car experts describe it as one of the most stylish vintage cars in the world.
